How to play Disc Golf?

Disc Golf is a game that everyone can play since it is a recreational sport. It is similar to golf but instead of balls and clubs, players use Frisbee or flying discs. Players throw the disc from a tee area onto a target called the hole.  As the game progresses, the player should make consecutive throws from the hole or spot the disc previously landed. Each player must be creative in different terrain because there can be trees or shrubs that act as obstacles. Once the disc landed in the basket, then the hole is completed.

Unlike other sports, disc golf can be played without the guidance of a referee or supervision because the game relies on the integrity of the players. Each individual is expected to show consideration towards their competitors and abide by the rules or demonstrate courtesy and sportsmanship at all times.

Springvale Park Disc Golf Rules

Just like any other parks or venues, the Springvale Park Disc Golf Course has rules that players should follow. This is observed to keep the park safe and free from any trouble as well as for the sake of other people who are in the area.

Always be aware of the other park users and avoid excessive noise that may bother other people. Keep in mind that pedestrians always have the right-of-way. Stop when you’re in a car or riding your bike and give courtesy to the pedestrians especially the elderly and little kids.

Pets are allowed in the park as long as they are on a leash. Remember to keep the park clean by putting away the garbage in proper bins. Plant picking is not allowed and visitors are expected to keep wildlife wild. Also, alcohol and glass containers are prohibited in the area to avoid any accidents caused by broken things.
